Tour Overview
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
Upon landing in Cairo, our team will be ready at the airport to assist you with visa processing and immigration. Afterwards, we will transfer you to your hotel and treat you to a meal at a local restaurant. Should your arrival be post 9 pm, a cold picnic will be served at the hotel instead of dinner.
Day 2: Giza, Memphis, & Cairo
Following breakfast, our first exploration will lead us to the Great Pyramid of Giza alongside The Pyramid of Khafre, Pyramid of Menkaure, and the Sphinx in this iconic archaeological site. Afterwards, we will visit a papyrus institute to delve into the intricacies of papermaking. With a mind full of Egyptian culture, we will continue to Memphis and Saqqara, the remnants of ancient Cairo.
After enjoying lunch, we will return to the hotel for a moment of relaxation, followed by a night tour of Cairo, showcasing the capital beautifully illuminated at night. This excursion includes a stop at the renowned Café of Mirrors and culminates with dinner at a traditional restaurant.
Day 3: Cairo
The third day focuses on the magnificent Saladin Citadel of Cairo, The Alabaster Mosque, and the Khan el-Khalili Souk. Amidst a maze of bustling street vendors, revel in the vibrant atmosphere of Cairo's artisan culture, rich with jewels, perfumes, and traditional musical instruments.
The discovery continues at the Grand Egyptian Museum, where you can admire the treasures of Tutankhamun and an extensive collection of over 500,000 artifacts from Ancient Egypt spread across 12 galleries. We will also tour the Coptic Quarter before returning to our hotel for a well-deserved rest, providing you with a complete picture of Cairo!
Day 4: Cairo - Aswan
Post breakfast, we will travel to the airport and take a flight to Aswan, known in ancient times as Syene, where monumental statues were constructed. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel, where you can unwind until the following day.
Day 5: Aswan - Abu Simbel - Aswan
On the fifth day, after breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel and head to the cruise ship for our Nile exploration.
Our first destination is the stunning Philae Temple, situated on a scenic island, often referred to as the Jewel of the Nile. To deepen your understanding of Aswan, we’ll journey to Abu Simbel to explore the renowned temples.
In the later afternoon, we will return to the ship where we will spend the night on board.
Day 6: Aswan - Kom Ombo - Edfu
On the sixth day of cruising, we will sail towards Kom Ombo. At sunset, we will disembark to investigate the town and its historic temple. Noteworthy for its unique design dating back to the Ptolemaic dynasty, the temple is dedicated to both the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus.
Afterwards, we will return to the boat for dinner as we continue cruising towards Edfu.
Day 7: Edfu - Luxor
Our morning will begin with a visit to the Edfu Temple, notable as the second-largest in Egypt and exceptionally preserved. Exploring the intricacies of this temple, dedicated to the god Horus, we will gain insights into its significant murals.
We will then board the boat again, navigating through the lock towards Luxor.
Important: The exploration of Edfu will occur via horse-drawn carriage, but if you prefer another mode of transport, notify your guide in advance to arrange a car or bus.
Day 8: Luxor - Hurghada
The eighth day highlights Luxor, formerly known as Thebes, the capital during the New Kingdom. Our schedule includes visits to Karnak, the Luxor Temple, The Colossi of Memnon, and the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut. We will conclude this day at the illustrious Valley of the Kings, the burial site of nearly all New Kingdom pharaohs.
Once our explorations are complete, we will journey to Hurghada, about four hours away, making a stop to refresh along the way.
After settling into our hotel, dinner will be followed by some time for relaxation.
Day 9: Hurghada
After the busy explorations of Luxor, you will appreciate this well-deserved break in Egypt's premier beach destination, Hurghada. Situated on the Red Sea, today is yours to unwind and enjoy all the resort amenities.
Day 10: Hurghada
For your final day in Hurghada, we encourage you to indulge in a refreshing swim in the Red Sea, taking delight in its vibrant underwater ecosystems. Feel free to explore other activities available in Hurghada.
Day 11: Hurghada - Cairo
After breakfast, we will return to Cairo by flight and guide you until your international departure.
Your final day may vary depending on your flight schedule. For early departures, we’ll return to Cairo early, providing either a light breakfast or a takeaway option. However, if your flight is in the evening, you can enjoy breakfast at the hotel before heading to the airport.
