Explore the lively streets of Cairo and savor the exquisite tastes of the Egyptian capital on an immersive culinary journey designed to delight your palate with an array of local delicacies that will leave you wanting more.

Cairo Culinary Experience

At the scheduled time, we will commence this culinary journey through Cairo from the entrance of the QNB Alahli Egypt bank, situated at 5 Champollion Rd.

Following a brief overview of Egyptian culinary traditions, we'll set off on foot into the heart of the city to explore its most authentic flavors. Our first taste will be a glass of freshly made sugarcane juice from a nearby juice vendor.

Next, we will visit the renowned Koshary Abou Tarek, where you can enjoy Egypt’s signature dish: koshari. This delightful combination of rice, pasta, lentils, chickpeas, and crispy onions is topped with a zesty tomato sauce.

Our journey will then take us to Malek El Kebda, where we’ll sample traditional Egyptian sandwiches containing liver, sausage, and brains. We will also make a stop at Hawawshy Shalaby to enjoy the delightful hawawshy, which consists of freshly made pita bread filled with seasoned ground meat.

Continuing on, we will visit Akher Saa to savor a classic eggah sandwich, featuring the traditional Egyptian omelet enriched with aromatic herbs and spices.

Finally, after approximately 2.5 hours of exploration, we’ll conclude our tour at Akram Gad restaurant, where you will have the opportunity to taste feteer meshaltet, the iconic Egyptian puff pastry, offered in both savory forms (with cheese and vegetables) and sweet variations (filled with pastry cream).
