Starting with a pick-up from your accommodation in Cairo, we will embark on a journey to the desert region of Wadi El Natrun, located approximately two hours from the bustling capital of Egypt.

Our first destination will be the Monastery of Saint Pishoy. Here, as you stand before the striking white domes juxtaposed against the vibrant red desert, you will delve into the rich history surrounding the founder of the abbey. This intriguing narrative includes discussions about how certain events have mysteriously vanished from recorded history, provoking thoughtful speculation on intent.

Next, we will visit the Monastery of Saint Mary Deipara, often referred to as the Syrian monastery, which serves the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria. Inside, you will be captivated by remarkable visual displays, including exquisite frescoes that adorn the ceilings.

Continuing our journey, we will reach Deir Baramos, also known as "the monastery of the Romans." While exploring this sacred site, you will uncover the stories of the renowned founders, Maximus and Domitius, who played significant roles in establishing the monastery.

From Deir Baramos, we will proceed to El Alamein, a coastal town in Egypt that became pivotal during one of the key confrontations of World War II. To deepen your understanding of this historic event, we will visit the Military Museum, showcasing various tanks and weaponry from the era. Additionally, we will pay our respects at the War Cemetery, where soldiers who bravely gave their lives are honored.

After a brief pause for relaxation and refreshments, we will conclude our day by returning to Cairo and dropping you off at your hotel.
