Day Trip Overview
Gather at 1 Cala Luna Street at the specified time, where we’ll make our way to the port to kick off our expedition in the Gulf of Orosei. Are you ready for this adventure? Let's set sail!
Throughout the cruise, the breathtaking coves, cliffs, and ravines that characterize the Sardinian coastline will be our backdrop. We’ll pause at various scenic points to capture the beauty of highlights such as Cala Goloritzé and the Piscinas de Venecia. Fun fact: Goloritzé Beach was formed due to a landslide back in the 1960s!
During our time on the boat, you can indulge in a glass of wine and a slice of traditional Italian cake offered at the onboard bar. After approximately 7 or 8 hours at sea, we will conclude our journey back at the original meeting point.
Possible Itinerary Adjustments
- The itinerary guarantees two scenic stops specifically for photo opportunities from the boat. Swimming breaks are not assured and are subject to the captain’s judgment based on weather and sea conditions on that day.
- The type of vessel may vary according to group size and the season.
Exploration of the Grotta del Bue Marino
When making your reservation, you can opt for a tour that includes a visit to the Grotta del Bue Marino. This segment will take you into one of the region's most famous caves, where the habitat of the monk seals along the Sardinian coast will be unveiled.
After spending around 1 hour at the grotto, we will board the boat again to continue our journey through the Gulf of Orosei.
Please note: admission to the Grotta del Bue Marino is not included in the tour price. You will need to secure your ticket in advance per our post-booking instructions or purchase it directly at the ticket office on the day. Entry to the cave cannot be granted without this ticket.
Language Specifications
Throughout the excursion, there will be recorded commentary available on board. These insights will be delivered in multiple languages, tailored to the predominant nationality of the group. Should you choose the option including a visit to the Grotta del Bue Marino, please be informed that inside, the recordings will only be provided in Italian and English.

Important information
On the day of the activity, we’ll meet 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time at Via Cala Luna, 1, 08022 Cala Gonone NU, Italy. There, you’ll receive your voucher and boarding pass for the boat. It’s important to arrive early enough to pay the environmental fee in advance. Please note that if you arrive late, no changes or rescheduling will be possible.
Environmental Landing Fee
Please remember that all participants must pay between 2.5EUR and 5.5EUR (depending on the cove) environmental fee in cash on the day of the activity.
Parking
If you're arriving by car, we recommend parking at the entrance to Cala Gonone. From there, a shuttle runs every 20 minutes to the port. Once at the port, head to Via Cala Luna, 1 to collect your voucher and boarding pass.
Visit to the Blue Grotto
To access the Grotta del Bue Marino, you'll need to purchase your ticket in advance at https://www.2tickets.it/biglietto/Evento/Dettaglio/1934257/M, or buy it on the day at the Escursioni Pegasso offices, subject to availability. On-site payment must be made in cash.
Without this ticket, entry to the cave will not be possible. Please note that Grotta del Bue Marino tickets are non-refundable.
Itinerary Order
Please keep in mind that during peak season, due to the number of boats and tourists, the order of visits to the coves and in the itinerary may change. There will be between 2 and 3 stops lasting between 1 and 2 hours at coves that can vary from the pre-established itinerary and 2 stops to swim.
Furthermore, please bear in mind that stops will be made depending on the weather conditions at the time and the limited capacity of each beach. In addition, swimming stops will be made near the boat, without docking directly on the beach, and will be chosen by the captain.
Depending on the size of the group or the season, the type of boat may vary.
Languages
There will be recorded commentary on board during the journey. These explanations will always be in several languages and will be broadcast on the basis of the majority nationality of the passengers. If you choose the option with a visit to the Grotta del Bue Marino, please note that inside, the recordings will only be in Italian and English.
Itinerary Changes
- Two scenic stops are guaranteed exclusively for taking photos from the boat. Stops for swimming are not guaranteed and are always at the captain’s discretion, depending on the weather and sea conditions on the day.
- Depending on the size of the group and the season, the type of boat may vary.
