Boat Ride Details
At the agreed time, our meeting point will be Caleta Chañaral de Aceituno. Here, you will step aboard a vessel that will take you around Chañaral Island, one of the trio of islands within the Humboldt Penguin National Reserve. This designated area is renowned for its exceptional natural attractions and serves as a prime location for whale and dolphin observation in Chile.
You will sail past this volcanic island, keeping a lookout for humpback whales, fin whales, and bottlenose dolphins, the marine species commonly found in these Pacific Ocean waters. Be attentive to your surroundings!
In addition to these magnificent creatures, this reserve hosts colonies of Humboldt penguins, sea lions, otters, and numerous species of marine birds. The stunning backdrop, characterized by cliffs, clear waters, and a tranquil ambiance punctuated by birdsong, promises a memorable experience for those passionate about nature!
After roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes at sea, we will head back to shore to conclude our adventure at the initial meeting point.
