Tour of Bacalar Lake of Seven Colours

Once we collect you from your hotel in Cancun, our journey towards the renowned Bacalar Lagoon, famously known as the Lake of Seven Colours due to its fascinatingly diverse water hues, will begin.

Upon arriving at the charming town of Bacalar, we will proceed to the lake's edge where a boat awaits our arrival. Climbing aboard, we will set out on a serene cruise that enables us to fully admire the vibrant shades of the lagoon's waters.

You will enjoy ample time to take a refreshing swim in the lake or explore the nearby cenotes, including Negro, Cocalito, and Perla. Nearby, you will also be able to view the stromatolites of Bacalar, unique mineral formations recognized for their exceptional qualities, such as the ability to naturally exfoliate the skin.

Next, we will immerse ourselves in the town of Bacalar for a tasty meal featuring local specialties. After lunch, we will embark on a guided exploration of the town's center, where notable sites like the San Felipe Fortress can be discovered.

As our day concludes, we will head back to Cancun, with an estimated return to your hotel around 13 hours after the initial pickup.

Adjustments to the Itinerary

On Wednesdays, maintenance will be performed on the boat used for the Bacalar lagoon tour, prompting a modification to the itinerary. On these occasions, our visit will focus on the Esmeralda, Negro, and Cocalitos cenotes, followed by a tour of Pájaros Island, the Canal de los Piratas, and finally concluding at Bacalar Lagoon.
