Tulum + Mayan Village Tour
Description
On this excursion to Tulum from Cancun, we'll explore one of the significant pre-Columbian areas of the Mexican Caribbean. You will also have the opportunity to visit a Mayan village and swim in a sacred cenote, adding to your unforgettable experience!
Description
Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Cancun at the designated time. We will drive south to Tulum, a pre-Columbian site located on the Caribbean shores, recognized as one of the most important Maya sites on the Yucatan coast.
We will commence our guided tour of Tulum by exploring its main sacred monuments. Notable sites include the Temple of the Frescoes, renowned for its exquisitely decorated stuccoes, and the Temple of the Descending God, where you'll learn about the history of this revered Maya deity.
The tour will also cover El Castillo, another prominent structure at the archaeological site, from where you can enjoy stunning views of the Caribbean Sea.
After savouring the panoramic vistas, we will proceed to a Mayan village. The local inhabitants will share their customs and traditions, providing a deeper understanding of their culture. You will then participate in a handmade tortilla workshop, where the locals will introduce you to their ancestral foods.
Post-workshop, you will have an hour of leisure to take a refreshing swim in the village's cenote. Its turquoise waters are sure to leave a lasting impression.
Once you've enjoyed your swim and dried off, we will make our way back to Cancun, with an estimated arrival time of 5.5 to 7 hours after departure.
