Tagus River Cruise Tour
Description
Embark on a remarkable adventure immersed in nature with this Tagus River cruise, the longest river flowing through the Iberian Peninsula.
Tagus River Cruise Experience
At the scheduled time, we'll gather at the Parque Fluvial da Valada do Ribatejo, situated within Cartaxo municipality. Here, we will board the vessel to commence our journey along the Tagus River.
Once everyone is settled, our exploration of one of the key rivers in the region will begin. Throughout this cruise, you will have the opportunity to observe the remarkable biodiversity of wildlife and plant life that flourishes in this area. Keep an eye out for herds of wild horses as you sip on a glass of sparkling wine, a local specialty of the region.
Don’t forget your binoculars! As we navigate, we'll glide past the Ilha das Garças, where, with a bit of luck, you might catch sight of various native bird species, including several heron types and ospreys.
Our journey will also take us to the fishing hamlet of Escaroupim, where we can explore its two quaint museums.
If you opt for the afternoon excursion, be prepared to witness the Tagus River waters illuminated by the sunset—an enchanting spectacle to experience.
After a captivating two and a half hours, we will conclude our tour back at the original meeting point.
