For those seeking a more immersive experience, you'll meet us at Piazza della Libertà and board a vehicle destined for the expansive gardens of the Pontifical Villas, which span 55 hectares (136 acres).
While there, we'll delve into the history with notable remains such as the Roman villa of Emperor Domitian, while revealing fascinating anecdotes about various Popes through an English audio guide. Have you ever wondered which pontiff constructed the swimming pool? Or the one who remained in Castel Gandolfo unseen for months post-resignation?
Throughout the journey, we will pause at significant historical and artistic landmarks, including the Villa Barberini, the Garden of the Moor, and the Villa Cybo. Please arrive 10 minutes before your booked time and exchange your booking confirmation at one of the following points:
- If you've booked the Papal Palace and Secret Garden Ticket: go directly to Piazza della Libertà, where the Papal Palace entrance is located. Pass through the security check and metal detector, then make your way to the ticket desk inside the palace to show your booking confirmation to Vatican staff.
- If you've booked the Pontifical Villas Tour: present your booking confirmation directly at the Pontifical Villas entrance on Via Massimo d'Azeglio (Castel Gandolfo, Italy). The entrance is right next to the Antico Forno bakery.

- Shoulders and knees must be covered when entering the Pontifical Villas, and low necklines are not permitted.
- A valid ID or passport is required to participate.
