Your adventure begins outside the Castellón de la Plana Tourist Office, situated in the Plaza de la Hierba. After gathering the group, we will board a bus and set off towards Traiguera. Let the journey commence!

Upon our arrival in this charming village, we will visit an olive farm that boasts centuries-old olive trees, including one that has stood since the year 971! A highlight of the visit will be an incredible specimen recognized as the best monumental olive tree in Spain. Here, we'll discover the local process of producing this precious 'liquid gold' and enjoy an olive oil tasting paired with local cured meats.

Afterward, we will reboard the bus and make our way to Cervera del Maestre. This town offers valuable insight into the traditions of olive farming, featuring a visit to the Oil Mill Visitor Centre, a facility that dates back to the Middle Ages.

The exploration continues with a leisurely stroll through the town, where we can admire its cobblestone streets and quaint architecture. We will also have the chance to see the exterior of the medieval castle, a structure that provides stunning views over the Maestrazgo region.

We’ll return to Traiguera to conclude our visits at the Royal Sanctuary Virgen Fuente de la Salud, designated as an Asset of Cultural Interest. This remarkable site, originating in the 14th century, showcases a mix of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles. Highlights include the historical pilgrim's hospice, exquisite frescoes adorning the sanctuary's ceilings, the priests' palace, and their residence.

Your enriching day will wrap up between 2:30 pm and 3:00 pm as we return to our original meeting point.
