Details of the Day Trip

At the agreed time, you'll be collected from your accommodation in Catania to embark on this excursion to Taormina, Castelmola, and Savoca. A remarkable adventure awaits you amidst three of the most picturesque towns in Sicily!

Our initial destination is Savoca, a stunning medieval village. Here, we'll tour the Capuchin catacombs located in the convent, serving as the final resting place for the mummified remains of local nobility and monks. You'll also have the opportunity to visit the Vitelli bar. Any guesses on its connection to the film The Godfather? Discover the answer during this day trip! Enjoy 1 hour of leisure time in this enchanting village.

After passing by Isola Bella, we will proceed towards Castelmola, a town perched between sky and sea. We will stroll through its narrow streets and visit the Turrisi bar, known for its eclectic decor. Next, we'll make our way to the San Giorgio bar, where a delicious brunch awaits, featuring bruschetta and a pasta dish, served alongside water and wine.

In the afternoon, our journey takes us to Taormina, where we will stroll along its elegant Corso, the main thoroughfare connecting Porta Catania and Porta Messina, the medieval gates of the city. You'll have 1 hour to discover and appreciate the breathtaking scenery surrounding you: the Ionian coastline on one side and the grand Mount Etna on the other.

After regrouping, we will head back to Catania, concluding our adventure with a total duration of 8 to 8.5 hours.

Be aware that during the low season months (November to March), a minimum of 4 participants is necessary for this tour to proceed. If this number is not met, we will reach out to you to propose an alternative date.
