Trip Overview

At the arranged time, we will collect you from your accommodation and journey by minibus to Piazza Armerina. Are you ready to explore one of the most extraordinary sites in the heart of Sicily?

Our initial destination will be the Villa Romana del Casale, a recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, we will admire its stunning mosaics, acclaimed as the best preserved from ancient Rome, offering a vivid portrayal of Roman life through elaborate depictions of mythology, hunting, and daily routines. Following our time here, we will enjoy a leisurely walk through the charming streets of Piazza Armerina.

After approximately 2 hours of discovering this exceptional site, we will regroup in the minibus and proceed to our next stop: Caltagirone. In less than 45 minutes, we will reach this renowned city known for its ceramic artistry, a tradition rooted in the Arab period.

Once in Caltagirone, a guided exploration will lead us through its key attractions, including the magnificent Staircase of Santa Maria del Monte, adorned with beautifully crafted tiles. We will meander through its narrow lanes lined with artisan studios, where you can appreciate and purchase distinctive ceramic art pieces.

Following our visit, you will have some free time to savor a meal at one of the local restaurants and relish the delightful Sicilian dishes.

With ample exploration and a satisfying lunch behind us, we will begin our return journey to your hotel, concluding our adventure 8 hours after the initial pickup.
