Experience the charm of the surrounding villages of Caxias do Sul on this insightful journey through Imigrante, Estrela, and Colinas. During this excursion, you will have the opportunity to explore a variety of unique locations, such as a bee farm, a cactus nursery, and a convent established by Dutch friars.

Day Trip to Imigrante, Estrela, & Colinas

Your adventure begins at 7 am when we will pick you up from your accommodation in Caxias do Sul. From there, we will set off towards Imigrante, one of the charming towns included in our itinerary.

Upon arrival in Imigrante, our exploration will take us into the world of local beekeeping, an essential part of this community. You'll learn about the intricate process of breeding stingless bees that many residents participate in, and you'll even sample some of the local products made from their honey.

Next, we'll proceed to Estrela, where you will visit the Berwagner distillery, an establishment owned by one of the city's notable families. Here, we will delve into the rich history of the European immigration that shaped Estrela in the centuries gone by.

Leaving Estrela, we will travel to Colinas, where we will explore the House of Artisans and Colonial Products. This quaint factory focuses on crafting jams, spices, and handicrafts. If you're feeling hungry, you’ll have an hour of leisure to enjoy lunch at a local eatery.

Following your meal, we will make our way back to Imigrante to visit the impressive Horst cactus nursery, recognized as the largest greenhouse of its kind throughout Latin America. Our final stop will be the Boaventura convent, constructed in the architectural style of Dutch monasteries during the 1940s. Inside, you will find a unique medieval-style chapel, renowned for its unparalleled design.
