Horse Polo Experience at Estancia Villa María
Description
Experience the thrill of polo, a prestigious equestrian sport, set against the stunning backdrop of Estancia Villa María in Cañuelas, just an hour from Buenos Aires. Delve into Argentine culture with a delightful traditional asado!
Discover Polo in Argentina
Your adventure unfolds at Estancia Villa María, a historic estate built in 1927 as a summer sanctuary for the Pereda family. Located on the outskirts of Cañuelas, this venue features a charming country house and a botanical garden, home to more than 300 varieties of trees designed by the renowned landscape architect Benito Carrasco.
The journey begins with an insightful polo lesson. You will find out why Argentina is held in high esteem globally for this sport. Guided by expert horsemen, you will engage in hands-on coaching as you learn the game, involving two teams of four players competing on the field with mallets.
This session will cover the history of the sport, its fundamentals, and rules, alongside Argentina's vital contribution to the polo scene. You’ll also discover the anatomy of the horses used, including intriguing details about their breeding, selection, and training processes.
Following your lesson, join a polo match alongside professional players, offering you an immersive experience at Estancia Villa María!
