Hiking the Neo-Medieval Fortresses
At a time that suits you, we will collect you from your hotel in Ceuta and head to the Sierra Bullones to embark on a 6-kilometer hiking adventure. Are you ready to explore?
As we navigate through the seven hills distinguishing Spain from Morocco, we will delve into the historical significance of the neo-medieval fortifications perched upon them. Constructed in the mid-19th century following the success of Spanish forces in the Battle of Wad-Ras, these towers have played a crucial role in safeguarding the border.
Throughout our journey, we will closely examine the remarkable towers of Piniés, Aranguren, Ányera, Mendizábal, Isabel II, Francisco de Asís, and the fort of Príncipe Alfonso. The route features a moderately challenging ascent that traces the natural frontier between Europe and Africa, promising an intercontinental trail adorned with breathtaking vistas!
Upon completing our hike, we will return to our vehicles, and after an exhilarating three hours of exploration, we'll drop you back at your hotel.
Pickup Information
This excursion includes pickup service from your hotel in Ceuta. If you are not residing in the city, we will arrange for you to be collected at the maritime station.

Important information
On the day of the activity, the local provider will pick you up at your hotel in Ceuta at the indicated time. We recommend being ready at the entrance of your accommodation at least 10 minutes in advance.
If you're arriving in Ceuta by boat and you're not staying in the city, you'll be picked up at the Estación Marítima (Maritime Station). You will be informed of the exact meeting point the day before the activity.
