Opening Times
The Château de Chambord is open every day during the following hours:
- From January 2-4: 9 am to 6 pm
- From January 5 to March 28: 9 am to 5 pm
- From March 29 to October 26: 9 am to 6 pm
- From October 27 to December 19: 9 am to 5 pm
- From December 20 to December 31: 9 am to 6 pm (closing at 4 pm on December 24 and 31)
- Closed on January 1, March 20, and December 25
- Final entry is 30 minutes before the closing time
- The gardens close 30 minutes before the castle closes
Skip The Line
By purchasing this ticket, you can bypass the often lengthy queues at the ticket counters. However, be prepared to wait in line for security checks at the castle entrance.

When making your reservation, ensure to select the correct ticket category since ID verification will occur at the entrance:
- Ticket for residents of the European Union and the European Economic Area (EEA)
- Ticket for non-EU and non-EEA visitors
Admission is complimentary for the following individuals:
- Children under 18, regardless of nationality
- EU residents under the age of 26
These tickets must be acquired in person at the ticket counter, along with original photo identification.
Important Info
Please be advised that due to an extended heat wave, the château will close early at 4 pm on Thursday, June 25, Friday, June 26, and Saturday, June 27, 2026. The final admission for visitors will be at 3:30 pm.

The Château de Chambord opens daily at the following times:
- From January 2-4: from 9 am to 6 pm
- From January 5 to March 28: from 9 am to 5 pm
- From March 29 to October 26: from 9 am to 6 pm
- From October 27 to December 19: from 9 am to 5 pm
- From December 20 to December 31: from 9 am to 6 pm. On December 24 and 31, the castle will close at 4 pm.
- From January 1, March 20 and December 25: closed
- Final admission to the castle is 30 minutes before the closing time.
- The gardens close 30 minutes before the castle closes.
Important Info
Due to the prolonged heat wave, the castle will exceptionally close its doors to the public at 4 pm, instead of 6 pm, on Thursday, June 25, Friday, June 26, and Saturday, June 27, 2026 (the last admission for visitors will be at 3:30 pm).
Getting There
By Car
- Via the A10, Exit Mer (n ° 16) or Blois (n ° 17)
- Via the A85, exit Selles-sur-Cher (n ° 13)
- Via the A71, exit Lamotte-Beuvron (n ° 3)
There is a public car park 600 m from the monument, whose prices per vehicle and day vary between 4 and 6 euros.
By Train & Bus
The closest train station to the castle is Gare de Blois - Chambord. From the station exit you can take bus line number 2 Navette Rémi Blois (gare SNCF)> Chambord> Lamotte-Beuvron. This bus will drop you off at the entrance of the Château de Chambord after 30 minutes.

- All people with reduced tickets must present an ID to enter the castle.
- If you have purchased an EEA citizen ticket, you may need to show proof of residence or nationality if requested at the entrance.
