Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Chiclayo. We will journey north to the historic region of Lambayeque, renowned for its significant archaeological heritage. Upon our arrival, the first stop will be the Brüning Museum, where over 1,400 archaeological artefacts from the northern civilisations of ancient Peru await your exploration.
Before entering the museum, we'll take a moment to appreciate the striking sculpture of Naylamp, celebrated as the founder of the Lambayeque royal lineage, situated in the outdoor garden. Inside, the museum features remnants from the Lambayeque, Mochica, Chavin, Vicu, and Inca cultures, showcasing the remarkable discoveries made by the German archaeologist Hans Brüning.
Among the museum's highlights are the exquisite treasures of the Lord of Sipan, a significant Mochica leader in pre-Columbian history. Additionally, we will examine the renowned Chimu gold funerary mask and artifacts illustrating the rituals of Lambayecan shamans.
Once our visit to the Brüning Archaeological Museum concludes, we will head back to Chiclayo, with an expected return to your hotel around 2 hours and 30 minutes after our departure.
