5-Day Chepe Express Journey: Chihuahua to El Fuerte

Day 1: Chihuahua to Creel

At the scheduled time, we will collect you from your Chihuahua hotel and transport you to the railway station. We will board the Chepe Express and begin our journey to Creel. After settling into your hotel and dropping off your belongings, the day continues.

In the afternoon, a guided exploration of Creel awaits, including visits to Lake Arareco, Los Hongos and Ranas Valley, as well as the Jesuit mission of San Ignacio, a historical site dating back to the 18th century nestled within a traditional Tarahumara village.

Day 2: Creel to Divisadero

By 10 am, we will depart from Creel station as we board the Chepe Express headed to Divisadero. Upon arrival, we will head to the hotel for a delightful traditional lunch.

The afternoon is yours to enjoy, allowing you to explore the stunning landscape of Copper Canyon at your own pace. It's fascinating to know that this canyon surpasses the size of the Grand Canyon!

A traditional dinner will be served around 7 pm, rounding off your day.

Day 3: Divisadero

Awake refreshed! We begin with a breakfast at the hotel, followed by a guided walk through the scenic surroundings.

The rest of the day is free for you to further discover and relax in Divisadero.

Day 4: Divisadero to El Fuerte

After breakfast in the morning, we will proceed to the train station to board the Chepe Express to El Fuerte.

Here, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of this enchanting Pueblo Mágico, where you can admire its colonial church, the neoclassical Municipal Palace, local markets, and additional notable sites. Don't miss a stroll along the river during your visit.

Day 5: El Fuerte to Los Mochis

On the final day of our adventure, we will ensure your transfer to Los Mochis Airport occurs 2 hours before your flight, concluding our journey with heartfelt farewells. Safe travels!

Accommodation Details

This tour provides 4 nights of lodging at the following establishments:

• Creel (Night 1): The Lodge at Creel Hotel & Spa (3 stars) or comparable.
• Divisadero (Nights 2 and 3): Hotel Divisadero Barrancas (4 stars) or similar.
• El Fuerte (Night 4): Hotel La Choza (3 stars) or equivalent.

Important Information

If two adults and one child are sharing a room, the booking should reflect two adults in a double room and one child, rather than two adults in a triple room plus a child.

Additionally, for one adult and one child sharing, the booking must be one adult in a single room plus one child, not one adult in a double room.

Please remember that only one reservation per room type is allowed. For instance, a single and double room cannot be reserved simultaneously.

Kindly note that train tickets for this experience are non-refundable and cannot be altered. However, cancellation of the remaining elements of the activity can be done at no charge up to 48 hours before the tour starts.
