Day 1: Chihuahua to Creel
We will begin our adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Chihuahua at the agreed time and make our way towards Creel. En route, visit the Mennonite community of Cuauhtémoc, a group with origins tracing back to Switzerland. During our stop, explore a local museum, visit the Américas cheese factory, and discover a nearby bakery.
Next, our journey continues to Lake Arareco, the picturesque Los Hongos and Ranas Valley, and the historic Jesuit mission of San Ignacio. We'll conclude this day with a stop at a cave that has been home to the Tarahumara Indigenous community.
Upon reaching Creel, you can enjoy dinner and prepare for a restful night. Sleep well!
Day 2: From Creel to Divisadero
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we will proceed to the train station in Creel, where we'll board the famous Chepe Express towards Divisadero. As we travel, marvel at the spectacular views of the Sierra Tarahumara, rich in stories and culture. Upon arrival, we will check into our hotel for a well-deserved break followed by a delightful traditional lunch.
The afternoon is yours to explore the Copper Canyon Adventure Park. Spend the next four hours surrounded by the stunning vistas of this ancient 20-million-year-old canyon. Engage in various activities, capture memorable photos at scenic viewpoints, and even walk across a suspension bridge while wandering through the lush pine forests alive with the sounds of cuckoos, quails, and hawks. The vistas here will leave you astonished!
As night falls, enjoy dinner at the hotel while soaking in the breathtaking surroundings. Get ready to rest; the third and final day of our adventure awaits!
Day 3: Divisadero to Chihuahua
Awake to a beautiful morning! Following breakfast, take advantage of 1 hour of free time for potential hiking in the stunning Copper Canyon area.
Soon, we will make our way back to Chihuahua, with an estimated arrival time of 3 pm at your hotel.
