7-Day Journey from Chihuahua to El Fuerte

Day 1: Arrival in Chihuahua

Upon your arrival at Chihuahua Airport, our team will be there to transport you to your hotel. In the afternoon, we will guide you through the historic center of the city, highlighting its most notable landmarks.

Our itinerary includes a visit to Quinta Gameros, a magnificent showcase of Art Nouveau architecture in Mexico. You'll also discover the Chihuahua Cathedral, a stunning 18th-century example of Novohispanic Baroque design, and explore the Pancho Villa Museum, the former residence of the famed revolutionary leader. Finally, we will visit Hidalgo's Dungeon, where Miguel Hidalgo was imprisoned in 1811.

Later, you can unwind at the hotel after an exciting day.

Day 2: Chihuahua to Creel via Cuauhtémoc and Basaseachic Falls

After a hearty breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel, and we will journey towards Cuauhtémoc. There, we’ll visit the Mennonite Museum and the Casa de las Galletas to learn about the influential Mennonite community.

Subsequently, we will proceed to the national park to marvel at the Basaseachic Falls, the highest waterfall in Mexico, cascading over 240 m (787 ft) amidst the majestic rock formations and forests of the Sierra Madre Occidental. The local Rarámuri name translates to "place of coyotes."

By the afternoon, we will arrive at the Pueblo Mágico of Creel, the gateway to the Copper Canyon, where we will spend the night at the Hacienda Don Armando Boutique & Spa.

Day 3: Creel and Arareco Lake Exploration

On the third day, after breakfast, we’ll explore Creel, taking in the fascinating rock formations at the Valley of the Mushrooms, Monks, and Frogs. Our excursion includes visits to San Sebastián Cave, Cusárare Waterfall, and Arareco Lake, where we will enjoy a delightful picnic accompanied by wine.

The afternoon will be yours to relax, and later we will reconvene for an exquisite 3-course gourmet dinner, followed by another restful night in Creel.

Day 4: Leisure Day in Creel

Enjoy a satisfying breakfast at the hotel. This day is free for you to explore Creel at your own pace. We suggest taking a hike into the mountains to witness the breathtaking morning clouds sweeping across the valley.

In the afternoon, indulge in a unique oxygenating spa ritual that revitalizes your skin with a dry exfoliation, deep tissue massage, and nourishing treatment. Dinner will consist of chilaca cream soup, herb-baked fish, and seasonal fruit mousse.

After enjoying this delightful meal, you can retire for the night. See you in the morning!

Day 5: Discovering Copper Canyon and Divisadero

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. We’ll then set off for some of the most awe-inspiring lookout points in Copper Canyon. You will visit Doña Catalina Cave, Río Oteros lookout, and San Luis de Majimachi lookout.

Our journey will take us to Parque Aventuras Barrancas del Cobre, where you will experience a Rarámuri cultural event in Divisadero.

Later, we will check into our hotel in Divisadero, where a dinner with stunning views of the canyon awaits you.

Day 6: Journey on the Chepe Train to El Fuerte

After breakfast, we will board the renowned Chepe Express in first class, proceeding to El Fuerte, in the Sinaloa region. Prepare for a scenic ride filled with breathtaking landscapes, bridges, and tunnels.

Upon arriving in El Fuerte, we will walk through the charming colonial streets of this Pueblo Mágico, rich with legends and history around the river.

After dinner, we’ll spend the night in our selected hotel in the town.

Day 7: Departure from El Fuerte to Los Mochis

On the final day, start with breakfast at the hotel, then we will transport you to Los Mochis Airport, ensuring ample time for your departure flight. Until next time!
