Hiking Adventure in Izta-Popo National Park
Around 9 am, our team will meet you at your hotel in Cholula to embark on a minibus journey toward the Izta-Popo Zoquiapan National Park, where we will traverse the well-known Paso de Cortés mountain pass. Our first stop will be at the La Joyita car park, marking the start of our hiking expedition.
The journey kicks off at an impressive altitude of 3,900 meters, following the Portillos route, a 4-kilometer trail adorned with picturesque snowy vistas, evergreen forests, and arid landscapes. This area also provides a chance to encounter various local and exotic wildlife such as coatis, deer, coyotes, and badgers.
As we proceed, two remarkable volcanoes will come into view: the towering (Iztaccihuatl and Popocatépetl). Are you aware of the captivating legend that links these majestic peaks? You'll soon learn more!
After four hours of exploring the breathtaking park, our hiking adventure will conclude at the original meeting point. We will then head back to the hotels in Cholula, aiming to arrive by around 5 pm.

Important information
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Cholula at 9 am. Please be ready and waiting in reception 10 minutes in advance to avoid delays in the tour.
We recommend that you bring warm clothing, hiking boots, backpack, water, snacks, sunglasses and sunscreen. You will not be able to climb with sports shoes and jeans .
You must bring your passport or official ID document on the day of the activity.
