Operating Hours
Cluny Abbey welcomes visitors from Monday to Sunday at the following hours:
- April 1 - June 30: 9:30 am to 6 pm
- July 1 - August 31: 9:30 am to 7 pm
- September 1 - 30: 9:30 am to 6 pm
- October 1 - March 31: 9:30 am to 5 pm
The Museum of Art and Archaeology observes a break from 12:30 pm to 2 pm until the year's end.
On January 28, 2025, both Cluny Abbey and the Museum of Art and Archaeology will open at 11:30 am instead of the usual 9:30 am.
Keep in mind that all operating hours may vary and are subject to change.?
The final entry to the abbey is allowed until 45 minutes before closing, whereas the last admission to the museum is 30 minutes prior to closing.
Special Operating Hours
Note that on December 24 and 31, 2025, Cluny Abbey will close early at 4 pm.
Complimentary Admission
Entrance to Cluny Abbey is offered at no cost to the following groups:
- EU youth aged 18 to 25.
- Children under 18 years of age, irrespective of nationality.
Additionally, free admission is available to all visitors on the first Sunday of each month between January 1 and March 31, as well as between November 1 and December 31. The third weekend of September also offers complimentary access.
To take advantage of the free admission, you must visit the ticket office on-site and present valid documentation proving eligibility for this offer.

Admission to The Cluny Abbey is free for the following individuals:
- Young people from the European Union between 18 and 25 years old.

Admission is also free for everyone on the first Sunday of the month between January 1 and March 31, and between November 1 and December 31. Similarly, the 3rd weekend of September is free.
In order to acquire the free admission mentioned above, you'll have to go to the site’s ticket office and present a certifying document of your eligibility for a free ticket.
