Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel in Medellin at the scheduled time, as we set off through the lush landscapes of the Antioquia region.

Enjoy a picturesque three-hour ride until we reach our first transfer hub in Cocorná. Here, we'll switch to an all-terrain vehicle for a 30-minute drive leading to a wooded area. Upon arrival, we’ll undertake a hike lasting between 40 minutes to an hour, following the trail of a breathtaking canyon.

Once we arrive at the site for our advanced rafting, the majestic Samaná River will greet us. Known as the "free river of Antioquia," its waters are formed by the confluence of the Verde and Calderas rivers.

Reaching the riverbank, you'll find the rafts and paddles ready for action. We will equip ourselves with essential safety gear, such as helmets and life jackets. After a brief orientation on safety procedures, we’ll embark on our exciting rafting expedition, lasting around 3 to 4 hours.

We will tackle a demanding section of the river, navigating a distance of 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) that showcases exhilarating class III and IV rapids. Don’t miss the chance to take in the stunning views of the surrounding Colombian jungle.

Before concluding our adventure, we’ll pause for a delightful picnic lunch amidst the serene natural environment. Once we’ve revitalized, our off-road vehicle will take us back to the starting point.

Your return transport awaits to escort you back to your Medellin hotel, wrapping up a thrilling day approximately 9 hours after we began.

Tour from Cocorná

Alternatively, you may opt to go directly to the meeting location in Cocorná, specifically at the El Llanerito La Piñuela Restaurant, positioned along the Autopista Medellín - Bogotá. If you choose this route, we will provide you with the exact meeting time shortly.

At this location, we will gather and await other group members arriving from Medellin. Meanwhile, you can enjoy a hearty breakfast featuring arepas, cheese, eggs, and rice, with drink options including hot chocolate, coffee, or soda.
