Tour Overview

The adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Colombo. Once you’re comfortably seated in the vehicle, the journey through the city's highlights will commence. Let’s embark!

Our first destination will be the magnificent Sri Kailawasanathan Swami Devasthanam Kovil, a Hindu temple renowned for its vivid colors and historical significance. You will have 30 minutes to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of this sacred site. Following this, we will proceed to the Colombo Lotus Tower, where we’ll marvel at one of South Asia's tallest structures.

Then, we will explore the Colombo Fort area, the heart of the city’s commercial and governmental activities. Here, a 15-minute stop will allow us to observe important sites, including the Economic History Museum, Clock Tower, Presidential Residence, Old Post Office, Cargills Department Store, and the striking Grand Oriental Hotel.

Next, we’ll navigate into the Pettah district, widely recognized for its dynamic markets and vibrant culture. This hour-long stop will provide an opportunity to experience the bustling vegetable market and the historic Old City Hall, along with views of the Kayman Gate Bell Tower and the iconic Jami Ul-Alfar Red Mosque.

The excursion proceeds with a visit to the Colombo Lighthouse, a significant coastal landmark. During the journey, we will also view the Floating Market, the Old Parliament Building, and the Port City of Colombo.

Midway through our journey, you will enjoy 1 hour of free time to savor a traditional meal, allowing you to experience the beloved local dish of rice and curry.

In the next segment of our exploration, we will stop at a Zylen Tea shop before visiting the Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple, celebrated for its interesting fusion of modern design and cultural heritage.

To round off our tour, we will visit the Independence Memorial Hall and Viharamahadevi Park. The return journey to your hotel will include views of the War Memorial and Colombo City Hall. The entire tour concludes after approximately 6 hours.
