Activity Overview

The Iberá Wetlands National Park, situated in Corrientes province, encompasses the second-largest wetland on the planet. Interested in exploring its amazing biodiversity? Our journey will commence at the reception of Nande Reta Lodge.

From this esteemed lodge in Colonia Carlos Pellegrini, recognized by the UN as one of the premier tourist villages worldwide, we will embark on a journey via off-road vehicle to a nearby dock. Upon arrival at the pier, we will set sail on a boat ride across Iberá Lagoon, which is a central attraction within the national park.

During our 2-hour boat trip, we will seek out various native species inhabiting the Iberá Wetlands, including caimans, marsh deer, capybaras, and an impressive variety of over 350 bird species.

Upon completing the boat ride, we will head back to Nande Reta Lodge for a delightful traditional lunch featuring an appetizer, a main course, and dessert—an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in local culinary traditions!

Following lunch, a 2-hour walking exploration of Colonia Carlos Pellegrini will commence. This excursion will offer insights into the typical ranch-style homes of Corrientes province, an opportunity to engage with the locals, and ample chance to learn about the area's history. We will also traverse scenic trails and visit viewpoints within the Iberá Wetlands.

Ultimately, we will return to our original meeting point, concluding this 6-hour adventure.
