Journey to Ons Island
We will commence our adventure at the designated time by gathering at Combarro’s Port, where the ferry will depart towards Ons Island, set within the Atlantic Islands of Galicia National Park.
Throughout the day, take the opportunity to discover its stunning landscapes, featuring idyllic beaches and scenic hiking trails that lead through the mountainous terrain of Ons. Did you know that this island has been inhabited since ancient times? We will share captivating stories about the island's rich history.
We also suggest savoring a meal at a local eatery to taste the island's traditional cuisine, such as pulpo (octopus), a beloved local specialty!
As the day concludes, ensure your presence at the Ons Island pier by 7:40 pm to board the return ferry to Combarro.
Entrance Permit for Ons Island
Ons Island is a protected region, thus there is a cap on daily visitors. To ensure access to the island, it is mandatory to register and acquire a permit from the Xunta de Galicia.
It is important to note that during the peak season (from May 15 to September 30, including Easter), you must provide your own permit issued by the Xunta de Galicia to enter Ons. We will email this document to you promptly. For the remainder of the year, we will not send the permit, as it will be supplied by the guide on the day of the visit.
Should any member of your group be unable to attend for any reason, please inform us at least 15 days in advance, so that the Xunta de Galicia can efficiently update their records.
Guided Tour of Ons Island
From October 1 to May 14, your ferry ticket will also grant you access to a one-hour guided exploration of Ons Island. Please be aware that this tour will not take place during the peak tourist days of Holy Week, specifically from the Friday before to Easter Sunday.

Important information
Schedule & Departure Point
We'll meet at the Port of Combarro, specifically at Avenida de Francisco Regalado, at the indicated time. We recommend arriving 30 minutes before the ferry's departure time.
The return ferry to Combarro will depart at 7:40 pm from the dock of Ons Island back to the original meeting point.
Necessary Documentation
Ons Island is a protected space with a daily quota of visitors, and to be able to visit, you should obtain authorization from the Xunta de Galicia, which the local provider will process.
In high season (from May 15 to September 30 and at Easter), once the authorization has been processed, you'll receive it by email. You must bring it with you, as well as this voucher. If you prefer, you can request it at the ticket office on the day of your visit, as long as you arrive at least 25 minutes in advance. The rest of the year, we will not send it to you, as it'll be the guide himself who will bring it on the day of the tour.
If you still haven't received the authorization of the Xunta in your email 24 hours before the date of your visit, you can access the website of the Xunta and download the authorizations by following these steps:

- Once on the page, select option #3 "Search by date and visitor's document"
- After filling in your details, you'll be able to download the authorization directly
If, for any reason, any of the participants cannot attend the activity, please give at least 15 days' notice and indicate the name and surname of the person who will be absent so that the Xunta de Galicia can remove him/her from the list.
Terms & Conditions
Tickets can only be issued up to 30 minutes before the departure of the ferry and at the port corresponding to your journey.
The ticket is null and void and has no value outside the day and time indicated on the ticket. If the ticket is lost or mislaid, a new ticket must be purchased.
You'll need to be at the pier 10 minutes before departure and/or return time with your boarding ticket and the enclosed permit to disembark at Ons Island.
The company is entitled to modify the timetables advertised and even suspend and cancel the trip for internal, technical-logistical or organisational reasons, as well as for reasons of weather or force majeure. It may also make any kind of intermediate stopover.
