Description
Cross the border from Greece to Albania and experience the remnants of an ancient culture on this journey to Butrinto. You will also have the opportunity to explore the charming town of Saranda and indulge in local culinary delights.
Voyage to Albania
Our adventure begins at the port in Corfu, where we will embark on a northeastern cruise to the coastal city of Saranda, Albania. Upon arrival, we will disembark and proceed to our next destination via bus: Butrinto.
During our visit to Butrinto National Park, we will dedicate the morning to uncovering the site’s rich history. This location is renowned for its remarkable Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, and Venetian ruins—essentially an open-air museum of history! The park is not only historically significant but also boasts stunning natural surroundings, including forests, the ocean, and a large lake.
After we finish our exploration, we will return to Saranda to enjoy a revitalizing buffet lunch. Guests can look forward to savoring traditional dishes such as feta cheese, tzatziki, mussels, meatballs, and baked potatoes.
Once your energy is restored, we will embark on a guided tour of Saranda. You are sure to appreciate the serene atmosphere of this delightful town!
Finally, we will head back to the boat and commence our return journey to Corfu, concluding approximately ten and a half hours after we started.
Hotel Pickup Options
When making your reservation, you can select between a tour that includes pickup or one that does not:
Choosing the pickup option means we will collect you from your hotel in Corfu. Pickup service may occur directly at your accommodation or at the closest accessible point for a bus. The transfer duration will vary based on your hotel’s location, typically ranging from 20 to 120 minutes prior to boarding.
If you prefer the no pickup option, you will need to arrive at Eth. Antistaseos at least 20 minutes before the scheduled boarding time, which is between 8:15 am and 9 am. Detailed location information will be provided once your booking is confirmed.

Important information
Tour with Pickup
If you choose the pickup option, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Corfu. Please note that you'll receive a check-in email at least 24 hours before pickup to provide your details as well as the name of your hotel. After this, you'll receive an email with your boarding pass and information about exact pickup times and locations.
The pickup will take place at the hotel or at the nearest hotel access point for a bus. The duration of the coach transfer depends on the location of the hotel (between 20 and 120 minutes before the start of the boarding time approximately). You should look for the Ionian Cruises bus.

Tour without Pickup
If you choose the tour without pickup, you must be at Eth. Antistaseos (Corfu Port Authority), about 20 minutes before boarding, which will take place between 8:15 am and 9:00 am. You can check the exact location of the meeting point at via the following Google Maps link.
Necessary Documentation
In order to enter Albania you'll need to bring a valid passport or ID on the day of the activity.
