Tour Summary

The tour begins at the fountain in Plaza Mayor, proceeding to the plazas of Merced and Mangana, historically significant as areas where the three religions coexisted near the Alcázar, the Jewish quarter, and a Christian neighborhood. The first stop will be at a restaurant in Plaza Mayor to taste ajoarriero and local wine. Next, the group will move to Savbia on San Pedro Street, where they will savor morteruelo, a well-known dish, in a charming setting, with summer tastings held on the terrace offering views of the Huécar gorge. The tour then continues to Raff, also on San Pedro, situated in former stables and within the 14th-century wall, to enjoy a surprise dish paired with one of the region's best wines. The final stop is CasaManzar, an old house of José Luis Perales, where a tour will be included, followed by a tasting of another dish with excellent wine, depending on weather conditions, either on the terrace or in the cellar. The second half of the tour will take place along the Júcar gorge, concluding with a tasting of the local liquor, resolí, made from mountain aguardiente, clove, cinnamon, coffee, dry anise, and orange.
