Itinerary

The first stop is the Turi viewpoint, where breathtaking panoramic vistas of Cuenca await. It’s the perfect spot for photographs! While at this scenic location, we will also visit the studio of one of Ecuador’s renowned ceramists, the Eduardo Vega Gallery.

After capturing the stunning scenery, we’ll stroll along the Barranco by the waters of the River Tomebamba. As we walk, you’ll discover the historic hanging houses and admire the Broken Bridge. This charming pathway leads us to the Pumapungo Museum, the city’s premier museum showcasing diverse exhibitions in anthropology, archaeology, ethnography, and more.

Next, we will visit a Panama hat factory to learn about the intricate process of craftsmanship involving toquilla straw. Here, you’ll find an array of hats, from basic models to vibrant and elegant styles. It will be hard to resist taking one home!

Continuing, our group will venture into the historic centre of Cuenca, a designated Unesco World Heritage Site. Here, you can indulge in a delightful Ecuadorian meal at a local eatery. Fully energized, we’ll explore the San Francisco market and wander through the Plaza de las Flores, celebrated for being one of the planet's most picturesque flower markets.

Our next destination is Abdon Calderon Park, offering a view of the Old Cathedral alongside the impressive New Cathedral, which ranks among the largest churches in Latin America.

This unforgettable tour of Cuenca will conclude with your return to the hotel after approximately 7 to 8 hours.
