Cuenca Private Tour
Description
Discover the rich heritage and iconic sites of Cuenca with a dedicated guide during this exclusive tour. Maximize your experience in one of Spain's most picturesque cities.
Description
Your exploration commences at 5 pm on Calle Larga, where you and your party will set out on a private tour of the historical center of Cuenca. For about two hours, immerse yourself in the delightful atmosphere of this city in Castile-La Mancha.
The journey kicks off with a passage through the Bezudo Arch, which reveals the former site of the Holy Inquisition. As we meander through the streets, you’ll encounter the San Pedro church, erected atop the remnants of an Arab mosque dating back to Alfonso VIII's reign.
As we delve deeper into Cuenca, we will pause at the Florencio Cañas viewpoint, one of the city’s most beautiful locations, providing stunning views of the historic aqueduct. Our path will also take us by the former home of José Luis Perales, the Posada de San José, before looping back to the Plaza Mayor.
In this main square, we will admire the stunning facade of Cuenca's Cathedral, which stands as a prominent landmark. Here, we will explore the fascinating history and secrets of this iconic Gothic church, the first of its kind in Castile.
Our path will then lead us to the famous Casas Colgadas (Hanging Houses) and the San Pablo Bridge, both of which are essential stops while visiting Cuenca. The tour wraps up at the Old Convent of San Pablo, which now serves as the Parador de Cuenca.
