Itinerary for the Cusco City and Inca Ruins Tour

On the day of your activity, you will be collected from your accommodation in Cusco at the scheduled time, and we will board a minibus to the Plaza de Armas, where the Cusco Cathedral is located. Here, you will enter this vital temple to appreciate its remarkable architecture and artistic elements. Interestingly, several of the gilded decorations are crafted from gold sourced from the Incas.

Your journey will then lead us to the nearby Qoricancha Temple, known as the Sun Temple. Although the exact year of its construction is unknown, it is celebrated as one of the most significant religious sites in the Inca Empire. You will witness firsthand how this site exemplifies the blend of Inca and Spanish cultures during our visit.

The tour resumes with another brief minibus ride toward four key Inca ruins located around Cusco. After approximately thirty minutes of travel, we will arrive at Sacsayhuaman, an archaeological site predating the Incas. A detailed one-hour guided exploration will reveal why it is heralded as an architectural marvel of the Inca civilization.

Subsequently, we will proceed to the sacred site of Qenko, followed by Puka Pukara, a military fortification whose name translates to The Red Fort. Lastly, we will conclude our visits at Tambomachay, an enigmatic complex featuring flowing waters, bathing areas, and channels thought to be associated with water worship.

Upon completing your exploration of Cusco's most significant attractions, we will drop you off back near the Plaza de Armas, after approximately four and a half hours of engaging sightseeing.
