Inkilltambo Hiking Experience

At the agreed time, you will be collected from your accommodation in Cuzco and we will begin our journey towards the remarkable Inkilltambo archaeological complex. On the way, there will be an opportunity to pause and explore the significant ruins of Tambomachay and Qenko if you choose to do so.

Next, we will arrive at the archaeological site of Saqsayhuaman, where our trek to the Inkilltambo ruins, an Inca sanctuary intricately carved into volcanic rock, will commence.

During this two-hour trek, we will navigate through streams, ascend mountains, and stroll through the captivating cactus and eucalyptus forests, ultimately reaching Inkilltambo. Upon arrival, we will explore the site, including the ceremonial huacas and the recently restored Inca Palace.

Having explored one of Cuzco's most picturesque archaeological locales, we will pause for a relaxing picnic lunch amidst the natural surroundings.

Refreshed, we will continue our hike, taking in the lush vegetation that envelops the ruins. We will encounter the terraces of Kallachaka, a mysterious formation of pyramidal figures crafted from circles, inviting us to unravel their secrets.

At the conclusion of our journey, a bus will be waiting to transport you back to your accommodation in Cuzco, with an expected return time of four to five hours following the initial pickup.
