Machu Picchu 2-Day Tour

Day 1: Cusco - Aguas Calientes

On the initial day of this adventure, we'll collect you from your hotel in Cusco at your preferred time. Following this, we will embark on a two-hour bus ride to the charming town of Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, you will board a train for a delightful 1.5-hour journey through breathtaking scenery. As you travel, enjoy views of majestic mountains, vibrant green hills, and flowing rivers – an awe-inspiring experience!

Reaching Aguas Calientes, your hotel awaits for the overnight stay. The remainder of the day is yours to wander and discover the attractions of the town at your own pace.

Day 2: Machu Picchu - Cusco

Following a hearty breakfast at your accommodation, we will board a bus, setting off for the highlight of this tour: Machu Picchu. Are you ready to delve into the wonders of the historic Inca citadel?

Upon reaching the hilltop ruins, you will enjoy a 2.5-hour guided tour through the fascinating streets and structures of one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.

After the tour, we’ll take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you can savor lunch and further explore the town before we board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Our bus ride will then return you to Cusco, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel after two incredible days.

Accommodation Options

During your booking, you can choose between two types of accommodation:

Standard Accommodation

Enjoy one night with breakfast in a two-star hotel such as the Hotel Rock Rivers or similar.

Superior Accommodation

Experience one night with breakfast in a three-star hotel such as the Hotel Hantun Inti Classic del Inca or similar.

Train Types

Your journey to Machu Picchu will feature transport in panoramic trains equipped with large windows and glass ceilings. Traveling in such comfort feels almost like soaring through the landscape! You will have two classes to choose from: tourist class (Expedition or Voyager train) and first class (Vistadome or The 360º train).

Pickup Information

Pickup is included for hotels located in the historic area of Cusco. Should your accommodation be outside this zone, we will meet at the entrance of the Cathedral in Plaza de Armas. Confirmation of your pickup will be provided a few days prior to your tour date.

Additional Information

If the activity is canceled due to strikes or adverse weather conditions, we will offer an alternate date for your tour. In the event that rescheduling is not feasible, you will receive a full refund for the activity, except for the entrance fees to Machu Picchu (approximately 200 PEN), which are non-refundable.

Sometimes, due to high demand, tickets for Machu Picchu may be sold out. If this occurs, we will propose an alternative route. The different available routes can be viewed at the following links, should the initial route not be feasible:

Admission to Huayna Picchu

Huayna Picchu mountain admission is not part of the tour package. If you're interested in visiting it on the tour day, please notify us during the booking process. The price is 65 USD per person. Please remember that trekking on the mountain does not include a guide.

Admission to Machu Picchu Mountain

The entrance to Machu Picchu is also not included in the tour. If you wish to visit it on the day of the activity, please make this known when you book. The price is 65 USD per person, and note that trekking on this mountain also lacks a guiding service.

2-Day Tour Without Tickets

If this tour is unavailable for your chosen dates or you prefer to explore the sites independently, you can book a 2-day Machu Picchu tour without tickets. This option follows the same itinerary but includes only transport, a guide, and accommodation.

Last-Minute Day Trip

If you haven’t found suitable availability for your preferred dates, consider booking a last-minute 2 or 3-day trip to Machu Picchu.
