At the scheduled hour, our team will meet you at your accommodation in Cusco to begin our journey, which includes visits to three iconic spots in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
After introductions, we will head towards the charming town of Maras, known for its colonial-style homes. Here, we will explore the fascinating salt mines and salt ponds, a remarkable site with origins tracing back to the Inca civilization.
Once acquainted with the unique properties of this salt, we will proceed to the indigenous community of Misminay, where a welcome snack awaits. This segment offers a chance to observe and engage with the local lifestyle, focusing on agriculture and textile arts. Following our immersive experience, a delicious lunch featuring a starter, main dish, and drink will be served.
Following lunch, we'll embark on a hike to a stunning viewpoint overlooking the archaeological site of Moray. Set at approximately 11,500 feet (3,500 meters) above sea level, this location showcases an amphitheater with circular platforms. Discover its purpose during the Inca Empire as we share intriguing insights and stories with you!
At the end of our exploration, indulge in a massage with Maras salt. Learn about the health benefits as members of the community share their knowledge while you enjoy a medicinal foot bath infused with these salts and a variety of herbs.
After six enriching hours, we will return you back to your hotel in Peru, concluding a memorable day of discovery.
