Tour Overview

Your day begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Cusco. From there, you’ll travel southward by bus until you reach the adventure starting point. Along the way, enjoy a sumptuous buffet breakfast showcasing both local and international dishes.

Upon arrival at the quad bike base, a guide will provide essential safety information and straightforward instructions for driving the quad bikes. They will also outfit you with all necessary gear, including helmets and gloves, before setting off.

Your journey starts with an exhilarating quad bike path along rugged terrains, while crossing ravines and Andean villages amidst breathtaking mountain scenery. After venturing by vehicle, you will dismount for a 45-minute hike to the primary viewpoint of Rainbow Mountain, situated at an impressive altitude of 16,404 ft (5000 m). Take the chance to soak in the magnificent views, capture stunning photographs, and hear enlightening details about the unique minerals of the region from your guide.

Later, you’ll retrace your steps back to the quads and experience the thrilling downhill ride. Once the quad biking part is completed, enjoy a hearty buffet lunch before returning to Cusco. Following approximately 12 hours of exciting activities, you will be dropped off in the city center.

30-Minute Quad Bike Option

The experience begins with bus travel to Cusipata for breakfast, leading to the community of Qáyrahuiri. After receiving driving instructions, you’ll enjoy a 15-minute quad bike ride each way (1.86 mi/3 km round trip), bringing you quite close to the Rainbow Mountain.

During this segment, you will have free time to explore the summit and take photos prior to lunch and the return to downtown Cusco.

3-Hour Quad Bike Option

If you’re looking for a more immersive quad adventure, a buffet breakfast awaits before you hop on the quads. You’ll ride for 1.5 hours each direction (nearly 3 hours in total) through stunning Andean vistas.

Post quad bike ride, enjoy a 45-minute hike to Rainbow Mountain, make your way back on the quad bike, and indulge in a buffet lunch before concluding your day with a return to Cusco around 4:30 pm.

Participation Criteria

• Drivers must be at least 18 years of age. Passengers aged between 12 and 18 may ride on double quads.
• Each double quad accommodates up to 2 passengers.
• In a shared double quad scenario, the vehicle is used by two individuals.
• Expectant mothers, those with heart issues, anxiety disorders, or claustrophobia cannot partake in this activity.

Type of Vehicles

For both short and long routes, you can select your preferred riding experience:

• Individual quad: 1 person per vehicle
• Shared double quad: 2 individuals in a single vehicle.
