Tour Overview

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your Cusco accommodation, after which we will head south by bus to the tour's starting point. On the way, we will pause for a sumptuous buffet breakfast that includes a variety of local and international dishes.

From there, we will proceed to the quad bike base. Here, a knowledgeable guide will provide a safety briefing along with essential instructions to help you control the quad bikes with ease. All necessary equipment, such as helmets and gloves, will be provided. And then, let’s hit the road!

The quad biking journey will commence along rugged dirt paths, where you will navigate ravines and cross through Andean communities, soaking in the high-altitude scenery. Once the quad bike ride concludes, we’ll park the vehicles and start a 45-minute hike to the main viewpoint of Rainbow Mountain, which sits at an elevation of 16,404 ft (5,000 m). Here, you will have some leisure time to admire the stunning views, capture amazing photographs, and listen to the guide’s insights about the area’s distinctive mineral features.

We will then retrace our steps back to the quad bikes and continue our adventure on wheels as we descend. Following the quad tour, enjoy a fulfilling buffet lunch before we return you to Cusco, wrapping up around 12 hours of this memorable experience.

Tour Options

During booking, you can select from various options tailored to your preferences regarding departure times and the duration of the quad bike ride:

30-Minute Quad Bike Tour

We'll have breakfast in Cusipata before heading to the Qáyrahuiri community. After going over the driving instructions, enjoy a 15-minute quad ride each way (1.86 mi/3 km total), which will bring us close to Rainbow Mountain.

You will have some time for exploration and photography at the peak before we have lunch and return to downtown Cusco.

3-Hour Quad Bike Tour

If you desire a more extensive adventure, join us for a quad tour that includes a buffet breakfast before we ride. The quad excursion will last approximately 1.5 hours each way (totaling nearly 3 hours) through breathtaking high Andean terrains.

After the quad biking, we will hike for 45 minutes to reach Rainbow Mountain, return by quad, and enjoy a buffet lunch before heading back to Cusco around 4:30 pm.

Participant Requirements

• Participants must be at least 18 years old to drive the quad bikes. Those between the ages of 12 and 18 may ride as passengers on shared quads.
• Each double quad can accommodate up to 2 passengers.
• In the shared quad arrangement, the vehicle will be enjoyed by two individuals.
• Individuals who are pregnant, or have existing heart conditions, anxiety, or claustrophobia should refrain from participating in this activity.

Quad Options

Both fast and extended routes offer you a choice in how you prefer to ride:

• Individual quad: 1 participant per vehicle
• Shared double quad: 2 participants in one vehicle. Please note, bookings must be made for 2 individuals.
