Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation at the scheduled time, setting off on a full-day tour to explore remarkable cultural and historical landmarks within the Cusco region: Raqchi, Tinta, and the San Lorenzo de Valleumbroso Hacienda. Your first destination is San Pedro de Cacha, beautifully situated by the Vilcanota River. Here, we will delve into the enigma of the archaeological site of Raqchi, once the prominent capital of the Kanchis people.

Beneath the shadow of the ancient Quinsachata volcano, we'll uncover the intricacies of the Temple of Wiracocha, dedicated to one of the most revered deities in Inca culture. Additionally, we’ll visit colcas (storage facilities) and royal tambos, enveloped in rich history and lore.

Our journey brings us next to the town of Tinta, known for its crucial influence on Peru's push for independence. Here occurred the revolt led by Tupac Amaru II, the figurehead of a significant indigenous uprising against the Spanish colonial authority. We will gain insights into his enduring impact and visit landmarks associated with the revolution, including his house-museum.

Continuing our time in Tinta, we will visit the town’s stunning 17th-century church, which boasts a breathtaking gold altar along with exquisite colonial artworks by celebrated artists such as Diego de la Puente, Francisco Serrano, and Marcos Rivera. After our exploration, you will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch at a local eatery at your leisure.

Next, we will make our way to the historic colonial bridge of Tinta, characterized by its elegant semicircular arches dating back to 1740. After crossing this picturesque structure, we will proceed towards the magnificent Hacienda of San Lorenzo de Valleumbroso.

This impressive colonial estate, constructed atop ancient Inca foundations, was once owned by the Spanish explorer Rodrigo de Esquivel. His family maintained the noble title of Marquis of San Lorenzo de Valleumbroso.

During our visit, you will have the chance to wander through the estate’s arcaded patios, refined halls, and expansive courtyards, all offering panoramic views of the Cusco Valley. Recognized as a Cultural Heritage Site of Peru since 1991, the hacienda is currently under revitalization by the National Institute of Culture.

After a day rich with history and culture, we will conclude our excursion and return you to your hotel, arriving approximately 10 hours later.
