Damajagua Waterfalls Buggy Tour
Description
Join us on the Buggy Adventure at Damajagua Waterfalls, where the thrill of speed meets the stunning landscapes of Puerto Plata. If you're in the mood for an exhilarating experience, this is the perfect option for you.
Activity Overview
We will gather at the Damajagua River Visitor Centre at 8 am, where our buggy journey begins. Our destination: the renowned Damajagua Waterfalls. This excursion also takes us through the picturesque southern part of Puerto Plata province. Don’t worry if you’re a novice at driving buggies; a certified instructor will guide you step-by-step.
As we navigate through lush palm plantations, pastoral farmland, and charming villages, feel the adrenaline as we zoom along the Dominican jungle trails. Expect to make refreshing stops to enjoy a fresh coconut drink, a cocktail, or a cold beer, and take a dip in the inviting river beaches.
During our ride of 6 to 9 miles (10 to 15 km), we will arrive at the stunning Damajagua Waterfalls, renowned for their breathtaking beauty. The site boasts 27 waterfalls that captivate every visitor, and we will have the opportunity to admire them from various scenic viewpoints.
After relishing a generous buffet lunch at a restaurant near the waterfalls, our adventure continues as we drive through several communities in Puerto Plata. Our first stop will be Bellaco, nestled by the Bajabonico River, where we'll have the chance to gather some local fruits. We’ll then proceed to Bajabonico Arriba, Palmar Grande, and Los Felix, providing insight into the local lifestyle.
To wrap up our day, we will enjoy a refreshing swim in the Bajabonico River before heading back to our starting point, concluding the tour by 2 pm.
