2-Day Trip to Cappadocia by Plane

Overview of the 2-Day Journey

First Day 

Your journey begins with a convenient pickup from your accommodation in Istanbul, followed by a transfer to the airport for your flight to Cappadocia. Upon your arrival at either Kayseri or Nev?ehir airport, you will be greeted in this enchanting area of Turkey.

Your exploration will kick off with a scenic hike in the stunning Kizilcukur Valley, where you can appreciate the breathtaking vistas and remarkable rock structures. Next, you will head to the charming town of Cavusin, renowned for its authentic architectural style.

For lunch, a local dining establishment awaits, offering you the chance to savor traditional Turkish cuisine at your leisure.

As daylight fades, prepare to venture into the depths of the Kaymakli underground city, a historical refuge utilized by Christian groups as a shield against invaders. This impressive subterranean community is believed to have housed up to 3000 individuals simultaneously. During your visit, you will discover stables, a church, spacious halls, and cozy family rooms.

Your day will conclude with dinner at your accommodation for the night.

Second Day 

The following morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel before embarking on a tour of the remarkable Göreme Valley, famous for its iconic Fairy Chimneys and ancient stone churches adorned with 10th and 11th-century frescoes.

This exploration will continue at the Uçhisar cave town, offering stunning vistas filled with surreal rock formations, alongside views of Avcilar.

Next, you will venture into the Derbent Valley, known for its intriguing natural sculptures. Additionally, you'll have the chance to visit various artisan workshops, observing the craftsmanship behind Turkish carpets and exquisite jewelry made from precious stones like Onyx.

Your trip will culminate with your return to the airport, timing your departure for your flight back to Istanbul, expected to arrive around 9:30 pm. Once back in the city, you'll be transferred back to your hotel.

Schedule Information

Be aware that the pickup timing from your hotel in Istanbul, along with the return timing, may vary with the seasons. Pickup will occur between 5 am and 6 am, with the return after landing scheduled for 9:30 pm.

On the eve of your trip, you will receive confirmation regarding your exact pickup time and flight schedule once your tickets are secured.

During the booking process, you will encounter a specific question requesting the name and address of your hotel.

However, please be informed that pickup is subject to availability and is limited to select central Istanbul districts: Bayrampa?a, Be?ikta?, Beyo?lu, Eminönü, Eyüp, Fatih, Ka??thane, ?i?li, and Zeytinburnu. If your accommodation lies outside these zones, you will need to proceed to the designated meeting point at The Marmara Taksim Hotel 5*.
