5-Day Tour Package of Tunisia
Day 1: Arrival in Tunis - Journey to Hammamet
Welcome to Tunis! Upon your arrival, we will gather you from the airport and commence our travels southward towards our initial stop.
After a 1-hour drive, we'll reach our lodging in the picturesque coastal town of Hammamet, where the remainder of the day is yours to relax or explore at your leisure.
Day 2: Hammamet - El Djem - Matmata - Douz
Post breakfast at the hotel in Hammamet, we shall depart southward to visit El Djem, renowned for its remarkably preserved Roman amphitheater, often likened to a "mini Colosseum". This UNESCO World Heritage Site will leave you in awe.
Next, we will continue our adventure to the unique troglodyte homes in Matmata, crafted by the Berber community within the rocky terrain to shield against desert winds. A visit to one of these cave dwellings will culminate with a delightful lunch at a troglodyte-themed restaurant.
Following our meal, we head towards Douz, where, subject to weather and availability, you may opt to experience the desert via a camel ride or rickshaw tour.
The day wraps up at our hotel in Douz, where dinner and overnight accommodation await.
Day 3: Douz - Debebcha - Chott el Djerid - Oung Jemel - Tozeur
After breakfast in Douz, our first stop will be Debebcha, where you'll marvel at its magnificent sandstone formations. We will then journey alongside the iconic Chott el Djerid salt lake.
After this scenic visit, we’ll return to Tozeur for lunch at either our hotel or a local eatery. After recharging, we will proceed to Oung Jmel, a notable filming site for both Star Wars and The English Patient.
The third day concludes with an overnight stay in a hotel in Tozeur, with optional dinner services.
Day 4: Tozeur - Kairouan - Back to Hammamet
After a nourishing breakfast at the hotel in Tozeur, we will navigate north towards the breathtaking mountain oases of Chebika and Tamerza, proving that it's not a mirage!
Once we have soaked in the beauty of the lush orchards amidst the desert, we will continue to Gafsa for lunch. Later, we will arrive at Kairouan, the fourth holiest site in Islam, where you will view the exterior of the impressive Great Mosque. Those interested may also explore a local tapestry workshop.
From Kairouan, we will return to our hotel in Hammamet, where we initially spent our first night.
Day 5: Hammamet - Departure to Tunis
On the final day of our Tunisian adventure, enjoy breakfast at the hotel in Hammamet. We will ensure a timely pickup to transport you back to the Tunis airport. Wishing you safe travels home!
Accommodations During the Tour
The tour encompasses 4 nights of full-board stays on days 2, 3, and 4 at the following establishments:
- Hammamet (2 nights): 5-star hotel Mehari Hammamet or equivalent.
- Douz (1 night): 4-star hotel Sahara Douz, Mouradi Douz, or equivalent.
- Tozeur (1 night): 4-star hotel Mouradi, Ras el Ain, or equivalent.
Important Additional Information
The listed rates for adults are based on double occupancy. Children under 12 years of age must share a room with two adults to qualify for the stated pricing.

Important information
We'll pick you up at the arrivals terminal of the Tunis airport when your flight arrives.
Upon arrival at Tunis airport, after picking up your luggage from the baggage reclaim belts, you'll exit through sliding doors into a hall. You'll then have to head to the right, towards the agency counters, where your guide holding a Desert Rose sign will be waiting for you.
Each passenger will be allowed to carry one piece of luggage of a maximum of 25 kilograms (55 pounds).
The itinerary is subject to change, but we'll respect the scheduled visits and excursions as long as public holidays and hotel availability allow for it.
In case of a change of hotel, the category of the new accommodation will be the same or higher.
Dinner on the first night and breakfast on the last day will vary based on the arrival and departure times of your flights.
Additional Info
Please note that, upon arrival, you'll need to pay a tourist tax that will vary depending on your hotel's category. This tax will be applied per person and night and is limited to the first ten nights' stay:

3-star hotels: 8 Tunisian dinars (approximately 2.36EUR) per night

4 and 5-star hotels: 12 Tunisian dinars (approximately 3.55EUR) per night
This tax applies to all tourists, including children aged 12 or more.
This fee is additional to the exit tax of 30 Tunisian dinars (approximately 13EUR) that you'll need to pay when leaving the country.
