Upon making your reservation, you can select from two distinct options. Both experiences commence and conclude on Avenida 5, featuring an English-speaking guide, a personalized sailing experience, and an onboard selection of water, beer, fruit, and guacamole.
4-Hour Sailing Experience
The 4-hour option offers a delightful passage across the Bacalar Lagoon. As we navigate this stunning expanse, take note of the mesmerizing assortment of seven distinct shades of blue that the water displays.
During the excursion, you'll traverse through the Pirates Channel, explore Birds Island, and delve into the depths of the enigmatic Black Cenote. We will share the intriguing legend of the old witch as we sail, and discover one of Earth’s earliest inhabitants: the stromatolites. While they may resemble corals at first, these fascinating structures are essential to the oxygenation of our planet.
6-Hour Sailing Experience
Selecting the 6-hour option allows you to explore even more of Bacalar Lagoon's enchanting locations. You'll visit the Pirates Channel, Cocos Island, the Esmeralda Cenote, the Boca rapids, and the remnants of an abandoned hotel, shrouded in its own unsettling tales.
A delicious fresh Mexican ceviche awaits you, made from fish or a delightful combination. Enjoy your meal!
Moreover, you will have the chance to receive a sailing lesson from a skilled instructor, who will guide you in understanding the wind and the various parts of the boat, as well as the essential terminology used by sailors.

The schedule for the private sailing trips on Bacalar Lagoon is as follows:
- 4-hour sailing experience: Available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 10 AM and 3 PM.
- 6-hour sailing experience: Offered Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 8 AM and noon.

At your chosen time please be ready at Avenida 5, located between Calle 42 and Calle 44 (#1239, Mario Villanueva Madrid, 77930 Bacalar, Q.R., México).
We recommend being ready at the meeting point 15 minutes early so we can avoid delays to the tour.

You'll need to bring a towel and long clothes to protect you from the sun. Please remember that sun cream is prohibited here due to the harmful impact it has on the living creatures in the lagoon.
