5-Day Journey through Bananal Island and Cantão Park

Day 1

Your adventure begins with a pick-up at 8 am from your hotel or Palmas airport. We will embark on a three-hour drive to the charming town of Caseara. Upon our arrival, we'll take a moment to rejuvenate with a traditional delicious lunch. Later, we will venture into the remote Araguaia region, where a variety of exotic wildlife awaits us.

Following this, a boat journey along the impressive Araguaia River will allow us to take in the stunning beaches lining its banks. Here lies the magnificent Bananal Island, recognized as the world’s largest river island.

Our first day concludes in Caseara with dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

After a fulfilling breakfast, we will head into the heart of Cantão Park. Upon reaching the lake's mouth, we will step ashore and embark on a 4-mile trek through lush surroundings. A delightful lunch will follow this exciting trek.

Continuing our exploration, we will navigate through the hidden depths of Cantão Park, journeying across the northern part of the Araguaia River. Along the way, we will have the chance to engage with the rich culture of a nearby riverside community in Pará.

As the day wraps up, we will head back to Caseara for dinner and a restful night.

Day 3

On the third day, we will rise early, enjoy breakfast, and journey into Cantão Park to witness the captivating scenery as dawn breaks. The early start will reward us with an enchanting view of the vibrant jungle!

Depending on the season, we may continue our trek through the park on foot or aboard a boat. This will allow us to observe the variety of exotic bird species found in the area. A relaxing boat trip through the park’s intricate channels and lakes completes our day.

We will return to Caseara for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

Post breakfast, we will feel revitalized as we travel nearly three hours to Lagoa da Confusão, where a boat will whisk us away across the lagoon that shares its name with the town.

After our boat excursion, we will enjoy lunch at our hotel and proceed to embark on a photo safari searching for the region's most exotic wildlife. In the evening, we will return to Lagoa da Confusão for the night.

Day 5

On the final day, we will have breakfast and depart from Lagoa da Confusão to explore the breathtaking Bananal Island. We will cross the charming Javáes River while searching for glimpses of the island's unique flora and fauna.

After taking in these stunning natural vistas, we will enjoy lunch before making our way back to Palmas. We expect to return to your hotel or the airport around 5:30 pm.
