Bella Vista Mountain Trek
Description
No visit to Bariloche would be complete without discovering the Nahuel Huapi National Park, and a hike to the summit of Bella Vista mountain. This four and a half hour route takes in some exclusive views of the Bosque Andino Patagónico forest. This is an experience for true adventurers.
Bella Vista Mountain Trek
We'll collect you from your accommodation at the indicated time before heading to the Nahuel Huapi National Park, a spectacular natural wilderness area of almost 2 million acres which covers the provinces of Neuquen and Rio Negro.
Once we have arrived in the park, we will park at a spot known as Tambo Baez, the furthest accessible point for a vehicle. From there we will set off on foot along one of the tracks which will take us to the Bella Vista mountain.
For four and a half hours we will head deep into one of the most important natural wildernesses in Argentina. We will stroll through a forest of elegant coihue trees, native to the southern parts of Chile and Argentina. As we progress, you will witness the surroundings transforming into a high alpine landscape.
The route will take us a total of 8 km (5 mi), through this breathtaking scenery, and 1,645 m (5,400 feet) high up to the summit of the Bella Vista mountain. From the top, you will be rewarded with a panoramic view of the peaks of Cathedral, Goye, Tres Reyes, and Tronador. We will stop for a while so you can relax while admiring the Nahuel Huapi and Moreno lakes nestled among the mountains. We'll also take the opportunity to recharge with a sandwich, a piece of fruit and a cereal bar.
The trip ends back at Bariloche, where we'll arrive after 8 hours.
