Discover the fusion of sports and travel with this biking excursion in Yerba Buena. During this adventure, you'll ride approximately 24 miles (40 kilometers), immersing yourself in the rich nature and historical backdrop of western Tucumán.
Details of the Bike Tour
Your cycling journey will commence with a pickup from your hotel in Yerba Buena at the agreed time. Once gathered, we will equip you with mountain bikes and helmets, preparing to cycle south along Avenida Solano Vera.
Our first stop will take us to the campus of the Universidad de San Pablo, a former sugar mill, where we will explore its facilities to delve into its historical significance. We will then continue our ride towards the ruins of the Vieja Usina de Lules, a vital hydroelectric power plant that thrived during the 1990s.
Continuing westward, marvel at the breathtaking views of the Andean forest from Cerro San Javier. As we pedal past fragrant lemon groves, we will approach the Lules River, where we will carry our bikes to cross its peaceful waters—a truly exhilarating experience!
Post crossing the river, we will follow a descending trail that offers picturesque vistas of the Quebrada de Lules. Before long, we will arrive at the main square in Lules. Here, a well-deserved respite awaits with a delightful 3-course lunch at a local restaurant.
After our meal, we’ll hop back on our bikes to reach the ruins of San José de Lules, linking us to the Jesuit heritage of the region. This site, honored as a National Monument, marks the origin of sugar cultivation in Latin America.
Finally, we will journey towards San Pablo, where we will unwind and take a moment to relax before making our way back to Yerba Buena. You will conclude your day with a drop-off at your hotel, approximately 8 hours after our initial departure.

Important information
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Yerba Buena. Please be ready at the hotel's reception at least 15 minutes before the tour begins.
Please note that this tour includes pickup at hotels in the center of Yerba Buena. If you're staying in another area, you'll need to head to the meeting point in Plaza Vieja, located at the following address: Av. Solano Vera, 1100, Esquina San Luis, Yerba Buena, Tucumán, Argentina.
The guide will be wearing a white jacket, black cycling shorts, and a banner that says "SP AVENTURA."
