Description
Experience the captivating scenery of Istria as you embark on a boat excursion departing from Pula to explore the stunning Brijuni Islands, an enchanting archipelago nestled along the Dalmatian Coast.
Available Tour Formats
When arranging your boat excursion to the Brijuni Islands, you may select either a morning or sunset experience. Departures will occur at the specified times from the Port of Pula.
Below, you will find the specifics for both journey options.
Morning Experience (5 Hours)
Once we leave the Port of Pula, our course will lead us to the Brijuni Islands National Park.
Throughout the journey, enjoy panoramic vistas without disembarking, as we navigate the 14 islands that form the Brijuni archipelago. As we cruise along, insights into the rich history and diverse landscapes of these islands along the Istrian coast will be shared.
As we pass by Veliki Brijun, the largest island in the chain, you’ll observe its notable Roman archaeological site from the vessel. This archipelago has long been regarded as an idyllic getaway for tranquil retreats since ancient times.
After exploring the 14 islands, we will make our way back to the Istrian shoreline, where we will dock at Štinjanska uvala, also recognized as Lost Bay Beach. Here, you'll have 2.5 hours of leisure time for swimming and soaking up the sun.
Next, a delightful lunch will be served on board, featuring a main course choice of fish, meat, or a vegan option. You may enjoy a drink of wine, a soft drink, or mineral water to accompany your meal.
After lunch, take a moment to relax on the deck before we set off on our return journey to the Port of Pula, wrapping up this 5-hour maritime adventure.
Sunset Experience (3 Hours)
Should you prefer the sunset option, we will depart from Pula in the evening to bask in the enchanting sunset views over the Brijuni Islands.
During this cruise, a delightful dinner will be served on board. Your meal options include fish (grilled mackerel), meat (grilled chicken), or a vegetarian choice (grilled vegetables), accompanied by coleslaw and bread. Drink selections include wine, soft drinks, or mineral water.
As we sail, we will pass the Peneda lighthouse, marking the southern extremity of the Brijuni Islands. Our course will continue around the island of Vanga, once home to the residence of former Yugoslav president Tito.
The journey will also take us to Mali Brijun, the second-largest island in the archipelago. From the vessel, we will catch a glimpse of Brioni Minor, recognized as the most significant fortification along the Adriatic coast. As we navigate the waters during sunset, keep an eye out for dolphins that may be swimming near the boat!
We will conclude our delightful 3-hour excursion by returning to the pier in Pula.
