Journey to Cacao Island and the San Antonio Community

At your selected time, we will collect you from your accommodation in Puerto Nariño to initiate our exciting excursion towards Cacao Island. Renowned within the Amazon region, this area is notable for its vibrant indigenous community and exquisite local cuisine.

Upon arrival at the port, we will board a boat to navigate the Amazon River, embarking on a scenic ride that takes approximately 20 minutes. As we sail, take in the breathtaking jungle vistas and the unique wildlife that line the riverbanks, before reaching the San Antonio community.

During our visit, we will delve into the traditions of these locals, appreciate their stunning architectural designs, and explore the cultural variations that exist between Colombians and Peruvians. This captivating experience awaits!

Continuing our exploration, we will traverse the lands around the community and venture into the lush wilderness of Cacao Island, where we will discover its diverse flora and fauna. Look out for the impressive ceiba tree roots and, with a bit of luck, you might encounter some adorable sloths.

After an exhilarating four-hour excursion, we will return to Puerto Nariño, where we will drop you off at the pier.
