We will meet at the specified location in Santander or Torrelavega at the arranged time, marking the start of our adventure along the western coast of Cantabria.

The journey begins in the quaint fishing village of San Vicente de la Barquera, where a guided tour will introduce you to its stunning estuaries, beaches, dunes, and cliffs. Notably, this village is nestled within the heart of the Parque Natural de Oyambre.

Next, we will proceed to Comillas, the only town in Cantabria showcasing modernist influences. Within our guided tour of this area, we will investigate the historical complex that includes the Palacio de Sobrellano and the Chapel-Pantheon of Sobrellano Palace, along with Casa del Duque and Universidad Pontificia, as we delve into their fascinating past.

You will be granted free time to wander this town at your discretion. During this break, consider visiting El Capricho by Gaudí, an eye-catching structure renowned for its vibrant colors and unique design that never fails to impress.

Your exploration continues with a visit to Santillana del Mar, celebrated for its medieval architecture, winding cobblestone paths, and the magnificent Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana. Here, you will have roughly 1.5 hours of leisure time to enjoy lunch and explore the medieval buildings, towers, and palaces in your own time.

The concluding highlight of our day will be the opportunity to enter the Altamira Museum and the Cave of Altamira. This includes a reconstruction of the prehistoric artwork found in the original cave, a site previously designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This visit promises to transport you through an incredible timeline back to humanity's early days.
