Day 1: Hanoi - Mac Citadel - Dong Khe

On the first day, our team will collect you from your hotel located in the Old Quarter of Hanoi between 7:30 and 8:00 AM. A comfortable air-conditioned minibus will then transport us to our first destination.

The initial stop is the Mac Citadel, a 16th-century stronghold established by the Mac dynasty to defend against the Lê-Tr?nh forces. While it stands in partial ruin today, the citadel showcases the rich and turbulent historical narrative of feudal Vietnam.

Afterward, we'll enjoy lunch at a nearby local restaurant in Dong Dang. Following our meal, the itinerary includes a visit to the Temple of the Mother and Dong Khe, significant for its role in the First Indochina War, particularly during the 1950 battle.

Our first night will be spent in the home of a Nung family, offering an authentic cultural experience.

Day 2: Ban Gioc - Nguom Ngao Cave - Ba Be National Park

Rise and shine! After enjoying breakfast, we'll head to the breathtaking Ban Gioc waterfalls, notable for their stunning cascades that extend over 300 meters (980 feet). Don’t forget your camera to capture this natural beauty!

The adventure continues as we travel to the enchanting Nguom Ngao Cave, a spectacular natural marvel that extends for over 2000 meters (6,560 feet) deep. Prepare for an exciting exploration!

Lastly, we will reach the welcoming environment of Ba Be National Park, where a local family will host us for the night. Enjoy a delicious lunch and spend the afternoon unwinding until the following day's activities.

Day 3: Ba Be National Park - Hanoi

After breakfast, we'll embark on a boat ride across Ba Be Lake, stopping by breathtaking Widow Island. Upon disembarking, a scenic walk to An Ma Temple will commence, followed by the option to either take a leisurely stroll around Ba Be Lake or enjoy a refreshing swim.

Following our lake activities, we will transfer to the Ba Be Jungle Houses restaurant for lunch before concluding the tour. On the way back to Hanoi, we’ll stop by a picturesque tea plantation nestled among the hills, providing a moment to admire the tranquil scenery.

Our return to Hanoi is scheduled for the late afternoon, concluding this immersive experience.

Accommodation

This journey includes two nights of full board accommodation with local families within Ba Be National Park and the Nung community.
