Hiking Tour: Capim Açu + Leão Beach
Are you prepared for an exciting day filled with outdoor activities? We will collect you from your accommodation in Fernando de Noronha and journey to Sancho beach, where our 6.5-kilometer hiking route will begin, showcasing some of the island's most breathtaking sights.
As we navigate this trail, characterized by its ups and downs, we will encounter several viewpoints that offer panoramic views from various angles of Fernando de Noronha. Our trek will lead us to the Sapata Lighthouse, reachable exclusively via this path.
Once we reach this landmark, the trail descends towards the Capim Açu cavern, an enchanting rock formation where seawater flows in, creating a surreal environment. We will take a moment here to appreciate the natural pools that enhance this magical setting.
Continuing onward, we will trek another 3 kilometers across a volcanic rock trail that leads to Leão beach, widely regarded as one of the island's most picturesque shores. Here, you might be lucky enough to witness sea turtles coming ashore to nest!
After an invigorating seven-hour hike, we will return you to your hotel.
Advance Reservation Required
To participate in this activity, prior booking with ICMBio (Instituto Chico Mendes de Conservação da Biodiversidade) is essential.
Reservations can be made in person at the Visitors Center ICMBio / TAMAR located in Vila do Boldró within the National Park of Fernando de Noronha. The center operates from Monday to Sunday, between 3:30 pm and 7 pm. It is possible to reserve up to 6 days ahead for a maximum of 6 participants. We suggest securing your reservation on the day you arrive on the island.
Kindly ensure you book this excursion after confirming your entry into the national park.

Important information
The guide will pick you up at your hotel at the time assigned to you at the Visitor Center. Please be ready at the hotel lobby 10 minutes in advance.
We recommend wearing sneakers or shoes that are fastened to the heel, comfortable clothes, and sunscreen. We also recommend bringing an underwater camera.
Important
For this activity, it's necessary to make a reservation in advance at ICMBio (Instituto Chico Mendes de Conservação da Biodiversidade). This reservation must be made personally and exclusively by the visitor and owner of this reservation. The procedure cannot be done via the internet.
