Tour Overview

The adventure commences upon gathering at the agreed location with Kiriakos Tziblakis. After a quick introduction and ensuring everyone is present, we’ll begin our stroll past the convent, making our way toward one of the most iconic historical sites in the Naxos old town.

Our first stop will be the grand Venetian Castle of Naxos, accessed via the southern entryway known as Paraporti. Meandering through its charming, flower-adorned streets, we'll appreciate architectural remnants that tell tales from a captivating medieval era. You might find it interesting that this fortress was established by the Venetians in the 13th century in the aftermath of the Fourth Crusade.

As we proceed, our path will lead us to the cloister and school of the Ursuline nuns, where a pause will allow us to soak in breathtaking panoramas over the town of Naxos and the vistas beyond.

Next, we will venture into the "1739" café, nestled on the terrace of the historic Ursuline dormitories, providing one of the most stunning viewpoints in the vicinity.
