Ferry + Historic Center Tour
Your adventure begins as you depart from the port of Buenos Aires on the Colonia Express ferry. After approximately one hour and 15 minutes, you will arrive at the pier in Colonia del Sacramento.
Upon disembarkation, a 1.5-hour walking exploration of the historic center awaits, where you will witness the beauty of one of Uruguay's most captivating cities! This guided experience allows you to explore the charming old neighborhoods, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Throughout the tour, you’ll admire the exteriors of the buildings that showcase a harmonious blend of Portuguese colonial architecture and Spanish influences. Key highlights include the iconic lighthouse adjacent to Bastión de San Pedro, the Basílica del Santísimo Sacramento, and the famed Calle de los Suspiros.
After your exploration of Colonia del Sacramento, you will have free time before returning by ferry to Buenos Aires in the afternoon.

Departure from Buenos Aires
This booking confirmation alone isn't valid for the trip. The local provider will email you a voucher that you'll need to present at check-in. You'll exchange this voucher for a ticket that'll grant you access to the transportation we'll be taking.

You must be at the port of embarkation at least an hour and a half before the departure of the ship.
It's also mandatory to carry a valid passport or any other necessary documentation (depending on your nationality), as well as a reservation number.
You must be at the Madero Sur port terminal in Buenos Aires. You'll need to check in for boarding at the Colonia Express booth, located at the following address: Avenida Elvira Rawson de Dellepiane, 155.
Arrival in Colonia del Sacramento
If you have chosen the tour option that includes a tour of the historic district, once you dock at the port of Colonia del Sacramento, exit the customs area; you will find a Colonia Express counter on your left. Please go there, and one of the company's employees will provide you with the necessary instructions.
If you have chosen the option with lunch, please note that the meal will take place at either El Refugio or Finca del Sacramento restaurant. The restaurant will be assigned on the day based on availability.
Departure from Colonia del Sacramento
You must be at the Colonia Express port terminal, located at the following address in Colonia del Sacramento: Muelle de Ultramar.
